about the studio

DEERJON is a photography studio focused on creating refined landscape and architectural imagery for interiors, hospitality, luxury real estate, and thoughtfully designed commercial spaces. Working at the intersection of fine art, architecture, and environment, the studio produces imagery that is both visually compelling and purposefully designed for the spaces it inhabits.

With an approach rooted in light, atmosphere, composition, and spatial awareness, DEERJON creates photographs that feel intentional, balanced, and deeply connected to the environments they represent. Each image is developed with the understanding that photography does more than document a space—it shapes how that space is experienced, remembered, and presented.

The studio approaches every project with a design-conscious perspective, taking time to study the character of a property, the movement of natural light, the surrounding environment, and the visual rhythm of the space itself. This process allows DEERJON to identify the details, viewpoints, and moments that best communicate the mood and architecture of a setting. Whether photographing a private residence, hospitality destination, or commercial interior, the goal is always to create imagery that feels clear, elevated, and true to the original environment.

At the center of DEERJON is a thoughtful process shaped by planning, artistic direction, and careful attention to detail. From early visual considerations and spatial observation to on-site refinement and final image development, each phase is approached with intention. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method, the studio responds to the unique qualities of each project—allowing the final body of work to feel cohesive, polished, and aligned with the purpose of the space.

DEERJON’s work is especially suited for environments where visual presentation matters deeply—spaces designed to welcome, impress, restore, inspire, or tell a larger design story. The studio’s photography is created to live across multiple contexts, from interior installations and hospitality environments to publications, marketing campaigns, and private collections.

The studio’s work has been exhibited at the Long Beach Museum of Art and displayed in installations at the Port of Long Beach Administration Building and the Port of Long Beach Exhibition. Select works have also been displayed in commercial spaces, including Fingerprints Music.

Founded by photographer and art director Jonathan Reed, DEERJON operates as a studio practice dedicated to creating photography that brings together art, architecture, and atmosphere—imagery designed not only to be viewed, but to live within a space.
